Mine's coming later this week but a big chunk of it is already 'gone'... 1. That car seat 2. TV-DVD combo so I get my netbook back from the kid. 3. Dog dental cleaning. Two words: Dragon.Breath. 4. Something small for me: a small tattoo and SAVE what's left (??!!)

Refund? That just means you gave the government an interest free loan on your money throughout the year, lol.

I normally have to pay $500 - $1,000 on April 15. That way it's me that gets an interest free loan from Unc Sam!I guess I will be getting a refund this year though. I put in new energy efficient windows and will get a credit of around $1,300. It will go in the bank with the other savings. We don't have any debt and don't need anything.

I agree with some of you about the "government loan" part of this issue, But for me, after owing one year BIG TIME, I had extra taken out so that I would never owe again. Now I get a sizable refund . Unfortunately, like most of us, it is already spent/spoken for before I ever get it. My son's high school tuition @ St. Francis DeSales here in Toledo I consider it an investment in his future so it is well worth it

we're filing tomorrow and splitting it once it arrives. Mine is going towards a car I'm paying cash for, bills, etc. Also, to repay the money I borrowed for my upcoming trip.

1. Bankruptcy (for myself after my ex stole credit cards/ran off with one of the cars)2. Pay off my wife's credit cards3. Clothing items for the whole family. 4. Clutch, slave cylinder, gaskets for the Saab5. Windshield for the MatrixI think that's it. Sad about the first item, but unfortunately, it's the only way out of the situation. And the only reason I mention it in public is a warning about what credit can do to a person. But hey, the rest of it's exciting and the wife and I will be out of debt (except for her car and the house). No more CCs for me, either. I've been living off of cash only for the past 3 years and have done OK so I think that's the way I'm going to keep going. Credit's great until it comes back to bite you.

REFUND???? No, I have happily owed the government every year I have filed taxes. Nothing like a tax free loan year after year.

Attn: Any IRS agents lurking about. Your check is in the mail. No Refund this year. Just completed my taxes.I'd rather owe a small amount than get a refund. I manged to figure it pretty close to perfect this year.

Give the refund back to the IRS as an estimated tax for 2011 due on April 15, 2011!!!!

my refund is small. W4 is set so that the the govt gets just enough to satisfy them. Best part of it is that I get more $$$ per paycheck. No free loans from me Uncle Sam !

I already got my taxes back and I put it towards a down payment to my new 09 Vibe GT and kind of regret it but needed new glasses so got those...i'm left with $350 in my savings which I won't touch all year and let it get back up well i'm hoping after I move to over a grand by the end of the year.

Pretty good chunk this year...around 3K. New baby helped bump that up significantly.Happily though...no real plans. Going into savings for now. Even with my job situation the last couple years (maybe only 7-800 hours each year) the unemployment and SUB pay has kept us going pretty well. Been very thrifty and the cars are holding up (95 Neon and the 03 Vibe). Only one small debt to our name that we could pay off today if we wanted to in all actuality.I suppose we may change so we end up paying at some point, our finances are plenty strong enough now, old habits die hard though.

Paid off debt with the entire thing. I want to be 100% debt-free by the end of the year.

I owe this year but that's fine. we would rather owe than get a big refund. it's my money either way so I'd rather have it in my pocket than the government's.I work at an accounting firm so i'm putting in tons of overtime so i get awesome payckecks throughout tax season... and all that goes into savings :D

But my boy is a priority. Gone as quick as it got here

I'm just super excited that I don't have to write a check for another few thousand dollars, hooray for business deductions. Taxes seem to mean that much more when you actually have to WRITE all the checks yourself instead of having withholding... I bet people would complain a lot more about government spending if everyone had to write all of their own tax checks rather than having it "mysteriously disappear"
