(OOPS...sorry I posted this in the wrong section!) I don't have the time to go investigating. About 2+1/2 X 4+1/2" mystery part, found on back floor, a new neighbor to the xmas tree needles, star bux napkins and receipts:

If I had to take a guess I would say it's a cover for the seat track... at least that's the first thing that pops into my head.

Yeah, it's a cover for the bolts that hold the seat in place. Here it is in my car, underneath the driver's seat (in the back): Edit: Your's is from the passenger side though it looks like.

Thank you. So it's just for aesthetics? Also, I always keep my passenger seat down and noticed there is no gap between the seat and seatback anymore. I used to store stuff there, but noticed the two pieces are touching?

Thank you. Though I don't go adjusting the seat. Strange... :shrugs:
