At some point in the early history of the car (previous owner) the rear wiper was moved to about a -45 degree angle. So, when you use it, it goes onto the hatch instead of cleaning only the glass! lolAny idea on how to open up the case it's in and move it over to it's correct "flat" position?"tia!

Sure! An easy one.... First, gently pry up the cover from the back, or bottom of the wiper arm. It will hinge upward approx 90* where the arm itself is hinged.Next, loosen the nut you will find under there, usually a 10mm. Third, lift the arm slightly from the post and reset it to its proper resting place. Fourth, re-torque the nut. Five, clip the cover back into place. Remember that it is plastic and has likely been out in the weather most/all of its life so it may be brittle. No great loss if you lose it though, just not as pretty.You might want to make sure the ignition and wiper switches are in the off position before you begin. It can be hard to reset a wiper arm when the lil' sucker keeps moving on ya'.

And something the previous owner probably did was try to engage the rear wiper when it was frozen to the glass, or covered in a foot of snow. Something I know you won't do!
