Wasn't sure if the poll should be who do you want to win or who do think will win, so vote for something, and if you feel like it, post up a Super Bowl comment

Not a fan of either team, nor do I watch just for the commercials, so if there was a "Don't really care" option, that would be my choice.

Voted for the first choice I have an 8:00pm hockey game and will miss most of the excitement If I had to choose I'd like to see the Packers pull this one off ... they're due

Going for Steelers, I didn't follow much of the NFL season this year but I usually win the bets at the superbowl I'll do my best to watch those commercials. They are a pain to find every year in Canada because broadcasters usually cut them and we get to see them later on special news reports...

We'll see which pub has the best wing specials. Then after berating the officiating I plan on cheering on the team that isn't Pittsburgh!

Judging by my basement, being that one half of it is almost a shrine to the Green Bay Packers, courtesy of my dad, I'm thinking my family will be for the Packers. Me? I'll try to get out of the house. Either that, or some work on the Vibe, or camping out in my room with Top Gear. I guess I'll say Packers, just because I kinda root for them.

when the Ravens are not in it, I root for both the Packers and the Steelers, so I'm conflicted on this one. I will be watching it wearing my Joe Greene jersey that I got for a coke back in the day.I hope it's a good game that comes down to the last play, and plan to indulge in mass quantities of adult beverages during the game.

I'll vote for the Pack. Not a fan but I'm glad an NFC North team made it.

I will watch because it is football and because there will be food and commercials. Pretty much all I am thinking at this point is "Super Bowl? Mmmm, Doritos and Papa Johns pizza..."

I guess I'll say Packers, just because I kinda root for them.A man (or woman) after my own heart. Can I vote for the Rangers? We had imposed rolling blackouts here in the greater Austin area yesterday due to extreme wind and cold weather (saving power, so the say.) They were supposed to be between 7- 45mins each and little by little much of the surrounding areas were supposed to experience this at some point yesterday.A coworker, who's power was out for nearly 3hrs, who has a friend that works for the utility, Austin Power (hold the jokes, please) said the real reason was conserving energy for the Super Bowl, Cowboys Stadium, the media (hype,) and to make sure the Dallas hotels had power for all the player, dignitaries and guests coming to stay for the event. They did not want to have to pay more should the state use more of it's fair share of the grid. Here's what our local politicians say about it:Quote, originally posted by Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst » KERA News & Wire Services (2011-02-02) Lt. Gov.: Burst water pipes led to power outagesBurst water pipes at two coal-fired power plants forced them to shut down, triggering rolling power cuts across the state, the lieutenant governor said Wednesday.Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst said this is something that "should not happen."Dewhurst said he was told that water pipes at two plants, Oak Grove and Sand Hill, forced them to cut electricity production. Natural gas power plants that should have provided back up had difficulty starting due to low pressure in the supply lines, also caused by the cold weather. The lieutenant governor said the demand placed on the Texas grid was nowhere near peak capacity. He said he was frustrated by the situation. The statewide electricity authority ordered cities across the state to start rolling power outages to cope with the crisis. Now we that are local to this situation were warned this would happen, so which story is more likely?Politicians seem to think we "normal people" are all morons.*edit* I don't mean to turn this thread into a political discussion Joat, but I thought you all might like to know....

I'm watching for the commercial, but I must say, whoever that woman was, she butchered pretty much every song that they sang.Quote »A man (or woman) after my own heart. Teenage man who isn't a fan of football. Got that switch done, but I was too early to miss any of the Superbowl

Are the Black eyed Peas 15 minutes up yet? Seriously! Every event has to have them?

Obviously, the halftime show was covertly sponsored by Autotune and Blue Man Group's tailors.

I favored the Greenbay Packers because1. They are not owned by a billionaire - just thousands of (relatively) little people - not moving out of town anytime soon for a bigger & better taxpayer paid stadium2. Anyone who lives in Greenbay, WI deserves a breakI thought a lot/most of the ads were tasteless and stupid - or both. The Budweiser Light with the dogs was o.k. - but not an all time great.

Just got home from the rink. My 8pm hockey game ran a bit over BUT I was able to watch the last 2 minutes of the game (when close that it all that matters) then have a few brews afterward. Glad to see the Pack pull it off. Proudly wore my Wisconsin hoodie to the rink also

"And remember, don't text and drive. Your life isn't worth a few tiny, electronic words. I know mine isn't."So my (and your) your life is so pathetic it isn't (even) worth a few tiny electronic words?Maybe it should say "Your life is worth more than a few tiny, electronic words. I know mine is".

(Of course you know that already, Jake and are simply trying to point out the sentence structure error.)I'll go one further and say that you shouldn't be doing anything distracting when you are driving any vehicle. Too dangerous for you, and any others that may be around you.
