HI,I did search here and on other toyota forums. My girlfriend's car , 2003 base Vibe automatic has about 170k km. When she bough it about 35k km ago we changed the front o2 sensor with a NTK because it was taking too much gas. It still took a lot of gas, about 260 - 300 km per tank, mostly city driving. So now she gets the p0135 code. I would like to check the sensor before replacing it. The money is tight right now. Does anyone have the specs and how to check it? I also changed the intake manifold gasket a few weeks ago hoping this would solve the problem since the code appeared during winter time. I know there was a TSB on that for toyotas. Thanks

The O2 Sensor you replaced (NTK) was it universal or a direct fit? If it was a universal check the wiring to make sure it's ok. I've heard of NTK bearing but not O2 sensors.

Yes it was a universal fit but it worked fine for more than a year. It is only now that it is throwing this code. NTK is the same as NGK or they are part of the same company, I am not too sure. I did not know they were also making bearings. It was too cold but probably tomorrow I will check the integrity of the wires.
