GenVibe - Community for Pontiac Vibe Enthusiasts

Just installed a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT in my Vibe but it's not turning on when I flip the key to ACC. When the car is on or the key is in the ON position it works fine but as soon as I flip the key from ON to ACC to turn the car off the stereo turns off as well. The stock stereo always stayed on until the key was in the OFF position. I double checked my wiring and the red ACC wire is properly connected, not exactly sure what else could be causing the problem...Here's a quick pic of the unit installed taken with my phone.

What type of connection did you use? I tried to splice into the stock wire first but could not get a good connection because the wire is so small. I ended up just cutting, stripping and using a direct connection to it and that worked fine.

I have a wire harness that is connected directly to the stock connections of the car...

I guess the next question would be, what harness did you use? I used the one suggested by Metra 70-2105 and does not include a connection for ACC which is why I needed to direct wire it.

I got the GMOS-LAN-01 harness that retains OnStar

Some come with anouther wire and clip to hook into the fuse block. Some cars need it some dont i had one come in the kit for mine but dident need it
