'09 Liquid Platinum Metallic GTs FTW ! Great looking GT! Love the blue LEDs! I'm glad to see you have the K&N CAI listed as a future mod. You will not be disappointed with it. Can't wait to see more pictures.

Awesome looking Vibe! I also love the interior LEDs.What size bulb are the map lights, and how do you remove them? I really want to swap mine out with LEDs but I can't get them out and I don't know what size bulb to get.

To do the map lights I actually removed the whole assembly and wired in my own LED's. However the bulb size is 194 and you can remove the clear lens with a small flat head screw driver. Just gently pry around the sides until it starts loosening up then you should be able to pull it off. The bulbs are a pain to get out but DO NOT twist them it will cause the whole socket to come off and it will get stuck up behind the housing. To remove the bulbs i would recommend wiggling them side to side until they give. If you want the same kind of effect I have I would recommend something like: 2 x http://www.oznium.com/rigid-5mm-led-dome in each side. They come with the adapters for the light socket so you wouldn't have to permanently install the LED's like I did.

Hey where did you get your license leds? I put a set in mine for a couple bucks off ebay and the stupid things won't light up at all

I got them for like 2 bucks on ebay. Have you tried reversing the bulb LEDs are polarity sensitive unlike the factory halogens. I also had to use a small Flathead screw driver and bend the contacts closer together on the socket itself so that it would hold the bulb.

by silverbullet
yea i knew that about the leds so i flipped them around a couple times. just don't work idk. not worried about changing the look or anything just one is burnt out and got those with like twelve leds in each bulb. just figured they would last a very long time and would hopefully never have to replace them again. ill just get some halogen replacements its not all that important to me. and very nice gt, I'm loving the hids

That sucks, I mainly bought the LED's to change the look and because they are way brighter than the factory halogen bulb the 100,000 hr life doesn't hurt tho. I wish I had a better cam to show off how the HID's actually look they aren't glaring at all my phones camera just sucks.

LOL yea I need to find a way to clean up the wires tho. They're just kinda there. All the power and audio signal distro is all nice and neat under the floor but the wires from the amps to the subs are a mess.

Does that triple BASS give you a VIBE?Why the hell does anyone need such a system??!?!?!? I hate those cars that come around and shake the world. Please keep the peace. Cars already have to much bass within. Cars needs good tweeters and fully range dynamics or clear clarity from the music.

by joshuaeb09
My Mids and Highs are very clear I run a completely flat EQ as well. Everything sounds great but I do enjoy my bass a little too much lol. I also didn't break the bank with my system I spent maybe 500 bucks total. Oh and lowincash I haven't gotten around to doing the LED turns and brake yet. I'm digging your Projector retro fit btw.

I personally love your car, the only thing I wouldn't do is the blue outside lights as as a driver i'm annoyed by them when someone else has them so i'm happy with the plain ones I have now. As for your base ROCKIN MAN but I won't do that either to my car as i've learned my lesson when I was younger...24% def in right ear ftl. Have you thought though of putting the subs behind the back seat and laying it flat then running the wires under the front plastic part that comes off that seems to be for....well nothing? Wellll I have a huge bus scrapper for winter and I found if I take off the scrapper part its a perfect storage compartment for the warmer part of the year but yea try running the wires under the plastic part if your willing to you COULD drill small holes just large enough to run the wires through but....why ruin the plastic cover when you get past the "I want huge base" stage of your life right?

My HID's arnt really blue its just my crappy camera and the glare isnt nearly as bad as the camera shows either. Ill see if i can get some better HID shots. I also adjusted them lower than stock aiming. I've decided I'm not really gonna worry about making the wires to the subs any neater since I do take them out from time to time to move stuff around.

I am confused with which bulb type to buy from ddm tunning. I want to install a HID KIT in the fog lights of my 09 gt.

Mine were 9145/H10's but I would pull out one of your factory bulbs just to double check because according to Sylvania's application guide it could be a 9145 or an H11. Also installing the HID bulb in the fog-lights is a pain in the ***. Even though the bulbs are the right size it takes a little wiggling to get them to go all the way in. I highly recommend jacking up the front of the car makes getting at the fog-lights sooooo much easier.

Quite a few of the bulbs listed on Sylvania's website for an '09-'10 Vibe are incorrect.

Actually the headlights aren't that bad in person I made sure of it when I installed and aimed everything me and my dad drive at each other and made adjustments and whatnot. Its actually the uber ****ty camera that puts the glare on.

Oh ok then i'd likely be alright with that the blue lights do hurt my eyes in general but I can deal with it if they are not super bright i'm not sure what kind of lights I have in mine, if they are standard then they are good enough for me as I can see ten times better then in my old ford that has the old fashioned standard bulb.

NICE!!!i take it the install was easy for the shop? (i.e. no "we need to fabricate a new flange and it'll cost you $200 extra" type of difficulties)

It wasn't a perfect fit but the made it all work for $150 including fixing a clamp on my magnaflow.

Ill see what I can do. They only thing I hate about it is that there is a rasp until the cat that is left warms up.(Pre cat went bye bye its in the manifold) But you can definitively tell when VVT kicks in now. It goes from a growl like noise to a higher pitch tone. Although I am very surprised that I don't have more rasp. All i have is the header, stock s pipe, stock cat, then stainless 2.25 back to the magnaflow. So only 1 cat and no resonators.

i have similar plans to do to mine what you did to yours...but i dont want that annoying rice burning ricer sound. lol. from what you describe, it's nowhere near that.

Forgot to mention that to get around the emissions system you have to mod the second o2 sensor. that was real fun ....... Mainly cause ur removing a precat. Also the scavenging effect of the header totally negates the valve overlap that Toyota uses to pull exhaust gasses back in on the intake stroke(once again emissions can bite me). Now the header actually causes more clean air to get sucked in > thus a distinct whooshing like sound at high RPM's. It pulls pretty good at 3.5k +. And I haven't forgot about sound clips been busy with work. Maybe ill have time tomorrow but today I am gonna sleep like the dead (I got outa work at 8 this morning)

Yea the sound is actually deeper than my phones mic could record. That was with everything fully warmed up. For the first 5-10 minutes its got some rapsyness. My final engine mod should be here sometime this week ... I got a unichip! The ECU connections from the 08 Scion XB are exactly the same so hopefully all will work and I won't have to shell out for dynotime and a tuner. Got it pretuned for Intake/Header/Exhaust and speed-limiter removal . I doubt I'll do anymore engine mods as the next step and stay N/A would be PnP w/ full valve train upgrade and stage 2 camshaft. = $3500+ .Will not be doing UD pulley's either as it removes the harmonic dampener and I don't feel like spinning a bearing later in the engines life.

I can without a doubt confirm that the Unichip for 2008-10 Scion Xb's works with the 2.4L in the GT. That thing is the ****. Made a world of difference on the 91 octane map .

By popular demand ... lol. I have refreshed the PICs including my New 3000K fogs. I also installed an O2 sim to get rid of those pesky P0420 codes from not having a pre cat.
