This is the "Master plan" for the finished product, which will probably change 100 times before it happens, but I paint all my cars Viper GTS blue, so that's a given. The rest is up in the air.

Love the amp/ terminal install. May want to do that for my kickers. I like the idea of removing them when I need the space...

That was my plan, when my daughter was born it became super useful. I have taken the box out on several occasions to put stuff in the trunk. The terminals were on a plate from radioshack for $4.00. I just unscrewed them, ran the terminals through drilled holes in that small access plate, and I use banana plugs on the speaker lead to the box so I can literally just pull them out and take it out, to put it back it just plugs right back in. One of my best ideas (I think) but I'm sure someone's already done it. Also, I upgraded those terminals to high-end metal ones. The plastic on the + side broke when the speaker box shifted into it, the metal ones are more robust and look nicer too. You steal them from this:

Ah yes .... The popular Hurst shifter & handle. I'm thinking of doing that to my Vibe somewhere in the near future. You just can't beat the feel of the contoured, grooved handle angled perfectly to your hand while shifting through the gears My earlier Camaro & Firebird rides all had this set-up! Nice

I am inclined to put them on all cars I own now. I like the feel of tearing through gears and pushing the T-handle around, and just gripping it, rather than gently pushing a shift ball around. Not the same. Hurst T-handle=awesome.Edit: Also, why did no one tell me I put two "o"s in To the Point? (Too)
