Window tint - hole from seat belt latch

So, the title says it all. I've had my tint on for only 8 or 9 months. But in my haste today, I let my seat belt fly over my shoulder. I heard the "clack" against the window, winced, and slowly turned my head to confirm my suspicion. The hole is slightly larger than a ball point pen tip, but being my driver window, I want to know what I can do to prevent further degradation vs. having the window redone. I am the only one who would ever notice this, so it's just not worth getting it redone. You can bet I'll be holding onto that latch as tight as I did last spring. Clear nail polish? Any thin sealant of some sort that won't crud up the hole, making it worse? Now that I am listing these products, I might just leave it alone altogether... thoughts?

Yeah, clear nail polish is gonna be your best bet, aside from getting it replaced. Been in the tinting business for almost 20 years, and this is more common than you think. At least you owned up to it. I'd have customers coming back telling me the tint is peeling and it was obvious what had happened.

oh, and another thing. About a month after mine werw tinted, a was hauling a push mower in the back to go mow my grandmothers lawn. I popped that little panel open in front of the spare tire area and the wheels on the mower sat downin therre nicely. it was all secure and I had the handle folded down, so I was able rto close the hatch. Took off to fast and the thing slid backwards and slammed into my window I know I should be glad it didn't shatter the window, but it left a niiiiiice scar in the tint there. I'll show ya at the next meet

But I bet your G-ma's lawn looked grrreat! At least I only have 54% tint. It's noticeable, but only to me from the inside.
