Best way to fix this...

My vibe has a little over 97,000 miles on it and the interior is holding up very nicely, except for what you see in the pics. Before I go slapping some super glue on this, I as wondering if there might be a better way to fix this?

Finish popping it out and see if the clip is still there. If I remember right, it's kind of finicky on getting put back into place.

Mine was broken too and it really bothered me. So I put the tiniest of screws through it and into some plastic underneath. If I painted the screw solver you would hardly notice it. Reason I didn't glue it was sometimes you need to take that off if you need to fix something in the door.

i actually just fixed this on wednesday. all the clips on the right side of it and the one on the back were gone. i got some plastic epoxy and glued some peices of plastic similar to the original clips where they went. let it sit for a day and it was perfect.

Sounds like the best solution is to use velcro or just let it be. Thanks for the replies!

The front clip on mine broke so every time I tried to raise the window the whole assemble would pull out. The plastic piece that hangs down was still there (I think I there was a metal clip that attached that piece of plastic and it went missing). I took the door panel off and then put a small screw through that plastic piece. The screw is just big enough to keep the panel from raising up any. No problems with it since.

I ordered a new one from the dealer a couple of years ago. I think it was around $30, but they installed it for free because it was the same time as the window recall, so they had to take the door apart anyway.

if you have some epoxy, do what i did. easiest if you even wanna think about taking it back out.

Mine was getting loose and I was getting annoyed and I tried to take it off and it officially broke. Its too darn cold out right now to do anything with it so I tried the velcro idea. Works well. Its not perfect but I am happy for now. I will prob get a new one in the summer but the velcro works really well. You just need to get some good stuff not cheap.

The velcro is only a temp fix. Mine is coming loose again. But its warming up now and I will get a replacement part. Its annoying when it shifts off to the side.

Does anybody know the part # for this piece? Do the vibe and matrix use the same part? The reason I ask is b/c it appears the matrix part is much cheaper than the vibe part, $14.16 vs. $57.02.
