5 MPH Bumper Works!

In the parking lot for the train this morning, backed up to get to a spot and at 610am I am not quite 100% awake. WHAM! I hit a concrete pillar thing that holds a sign for parking info. I parked got out, looked...nothing. Not a scratch, scrape, crack, dent. Nothing. So I guess 5mph bumpers really do work!

Yep, so glad they do! At a stop sign last summer, the lady in front of me put her car in reverse and backed right into me, even though I was blasting the horn. She said she didn't hear it (that convinced me to put in an aftermarket horn - much louder!).When I got out of my car, the look on my face must have scared her to death, but I kept myself under control and just looked at my bumper - not a mark. So I was nice to her and sent her on her way.Even after a good cleaning to remove all the road trip bugs, I still didn't see a mark, and I still don't. I'm hoping the paint doesn't crack sometime in the future (this isn't the first car I've had where someone backed up into me - I must be a magnet for that sort of thing).
