almost ready to pull the trigger on a Vibe

Came on this forum a year or so ago, and almost about a Vibe then. But ended up buying a Camry wagon instead(great car, BTW). But I'm back on the hunt. We went and drove a nice clean 2007 w/auto today. Has 80k miles, for just under $8k. I actually liked it, but the wife is on the fence. It'll replace her Lexus GS, if ya can believe that. LOL! We just need something a bit easier on the gas, insurance, better handling in the snow, ect. But the road noise, and stiff ride kinda dampen it for me. We'll see. I may call the dealer back tomorrow and see what the numbers look like. They didn't seem REAL keen on the Lexus, and I HATE selling cars myself.

Welcome back! Road noise can be solved with some better tires... and that's one more thing to haggle down the price!!!

I wouldn't say the Vibe handles well at all in the snow.My opinion may be a bit biased though as I also own 3 Subarus and a 4x4 truck.

Really???Mine handles great on snow and ice... and I'm no slowassed sunday driver. Besides... I can't count the number of times I've ripped by 4x4's in the ditch! The right tires do wonders!!!
