So, I guess no football happening any time soon with the collapse of the Metrodome?http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/12/....htmlMaybe they can go back to the old timey days when they would plow off a field, and play foot ball OUTSIDE in the rain, and snow, and yes, even good weather! For the Millions of dollars a year these people earn, they should be required to play outside and provide the full entertainment value the viewer pays for!Go to the local college, plow off the field and PLAY BALL!!!That's just my opinion, but I'm old.Dave

Just saw a local NY TV station. Did a breaking news story about the collapse of the stadium then switched over to local weekend news where they began with telling us how the Giants are stuck in Kansas City and will get up to the Twin Cities as soon as possible to play the game.....too funny, COMMUNICATE with each other people!!!Dave

That's what I say, just play at the Gopher's new TCF Stadium on Monday night. Who cares that it will be -15°F (actual temp) and -40°F (windchills). Come on! Man-Up people! I'm curious as to how they are going to work this out.

If you want to play with the big boys, buck up and go outside and play!!If they play and it is -15 they will set a new record!! The coldest game on record was in 1967 with a temperature of -13 degrees In Green Bay! Factor in wind, it was -36. In 1972 they played in -2 degrees.I remember these games in the winter as a child and young man, They were great!! Would I do it? No, but then again, put a couple of million $$'s in my checkbook, I'll seriously consider it!Dave

The Giants-Vikings game will kick off at 7:20 p.m. ET. Tickets will be free for anyone who wants to attend. Any ticket holders for the game in Minnesota will receive preferential seating at the 50-yard line if they can make the journey through the snow-ravaged Midwest.

If you want the Vikings to play outdoors, tell them to hock of the Metrodome's roof, because unless the new stadium is privately funded, it's not going to happen in this economic slump. The reason the 'dome was built in the first place was because they were whining about how cold it was. Okay guys, you get a dome! Now they want to play outside again. I'd say Minnesota should dump them, and they should go to California, but California doesn't deserve that kind of punishment. At least wait until I'm outta here before you break ground. Obviously, I'm not into sports, so I may not fully understand it. I get that sports SHOULD be played outside, in the elements, and since I'm more into baseball, I think the Twins stadium was a good idea. But I REALLY don't think the players should be paid millions per game, or that it is the state's job to finance a big building that many in the state won't even see, or care about when it could go to better things out there. Just my two cents! I don't mean to cause spite, or anything, but that just comes from one who thinks deeply about things.
