custom intake...might cut around the sensor in order to afix bracket to new pipe...or does the whole piece of tube that the MAF sensor is mounted on come out of both sides(i now it does form the S-tube to the sensor, but not sure about in to the airbox) if it does, then i can just use rubber hose and clamps to attach it. plus i can reinstall a stock airbox if i need to take it in for work and avoid being hassled by the shop for a void warranty...

Take your intake tubing apart and see what it looks like and what peices come apart and which ones don't. I did this with mine and that way you'll know what you need and where to start. As for a part number for the filter I have a killer filter you should use for your custom CAI. Plus it's a new design that sucks in air from the top and not just the sides. MORE AIR FLOW!!!! I have the part # posted in my Custom CAI topic in the engine forum.

Hi Ragingfish is this really the part # for the stock airbox for the vibe gt. I hot an '03, and one of the clips broke off. Can't tell if I did or if it was done when it went in for service. The $31.09 posted was that the dealer's price?Quote, originally posted by ragingfish »I know this thread is about two years old, but thought I'd throw this out there:DUCT, FRONT AIR INTAKE 88969117 31.09jjhendri
