Paint Question '06 Vibe

I noticed the paint on my '06 Vibe starting to change colors, especially on the nose, trim and rear bumper. Basically, all the parts that are plastic, not metal. The color of my Vibe is the Salsa (Red...44U I believe) and the plastic parts mentioned are more an orange color now. Recently, I noticed blotches that looked like something had dripped on it and ran down the side around the headlights and was going to look for something to restore the color of the plastic parts turning orange. The past two days, we had some cold temps here in South Florida, which actually formed a very thin coat of ice on the car. This afternoon, I was looking at the front end around the headlights and under the lip of the hood and noticed that the paint looked like it was eaten away almost down to the plastic!Has anyone else experienced this with their paint (from what I read on the forums, the paints on Vibes, along with a lot of GM cars are very subpar and I have more chips than a bag of Doritos on the hood and around the front, which I try to keep up with the touch up pen, but it is to the point where I am saying why bother with the pen)? I am weighing my options here, should I try to get the color match spray paint and repaint myself, cover it up with a full front bra or see what quotes I can get from a body shop (which they would probably want to repaint the whole car to match everything up right)? Is there something that you can buy to restore faded paint on plastic? I used something on metal years ago and it just took paint from the surrounding area and covered the offending section, but that was metal, not plastic. I know it's just superficial, but dang it, it looks like crap and I fear I am going to have to pay out big bucks to get it to look good again.Any suggestions?
