Reported in today's Wall Str. Jrl. Apparently the Japanese share my disdain for the nonfunctional 4 door sedans. They prefer minivans and compact cars such as the Honda Fit. On my recent visit to Cleveland it looked as if the vast majority of taxis were Chrysler minivans. There are only a few used as taxis in Columbus. All are the 2007 and earlier models - probably buy them cheap at auction.

It had 501000 kms when it finally died. Rear seats folded flat, seat bottoms were removable. Like all mid-80's Hondas, it was near indestructable. Friends called it a rolling deathtrap, based on how short the engine bay was and the fact that you really couldn't see the hood while behind the wheel! And as ugly and boxy as it was, there were no blindspots whatsoever and more cargo room then the Vibe... Can't buy anything with that much cargo room from Honda anymore without breaking the bank. The Fit doesn't even come close.
