Emblems

I remember what Nova did with his "ram air" emblems, and I've been thinking about that kinda stuff. Some of ya really like the clean look (hence: shaving off emblems) but I'm actually a fan of 'em.I did some searching, and this might interest some of ya: VVT-i emblems on ebay. There's a BUNCH of them, but here's an example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 19397405It might not match the "Vibe," but it looks nice nonetheless. I'm also on the search for VW letter emblems (it's amazing how many words you can spell with these) and would search for enough emblems to spell the word "Supercharged" or "Supercharger" or even "SC" (Perhaps the S from the Minicooper S?)Wondering if anyone else is interested in these things, or if anyone else has done it (would make my search easier ) It's not everyone's cup o' tea, but I like it enough so I'll keep updates as stuff comes in

I definitely notice emblems and pay attention to them. Some, I really like, as when Chevrolet brought back the classic Impala emblem. And, to a lesser exent, the classic Mustang horse. Some (like "ABS") I think are pointless. One of the best in history is the Chevy crossed-flag "SS" emblem. I'm dating myself, but I remember when you'd get a "Powerglide" emblem if your Chevy had an automatic transmission, and remember "Hydra-Matic" on some Olds models.Do we really need "4x4" insignia on four-wheel-drive trucks and SUVs? If you're the driver, you know that you've got it. If you're not the driver, are you supposed to be impressed that the guy shelled out a couple extra grand? If you like emblems, badges, insignia, whatever you call them, then I guess you appreciate the status value that they impart to your ride. If you don't like them, then you probably think it quite shallow that it matters to us whether we drive a Bonneville SSEi, or a lesser trim model that we've added all the options to a la carte.

Interesting thought process there - I've never considered it from the point of people wanting to "show off" what they have, bit it makes a lot of sense. I've seen em as a good way to start a converastion. Stopped and talked to a guy with a Jetta - Trek car, found some nice local trails for MTB riding because of it. :DIf I add a "SC" or something like that, who knows, mb another Vibe owner will come up, start talking, and eventually led to this website

If you want "Supercharged" emblems, look into Buick Regal emblems. The 3800 Regal GS has "Supercharged" emblems. Also, I believe the newer Ford Lightnings have "Supercharged" emblems. You can buy Ford "Supercharged" emblems here for $10 each:
