I once planed to do a similar project for my vibe. But after considerable research, I dropped the project. Because besides the main alarm system, I still need to buy sensors, modules, backup battery, etc. to make the alarm system more practical. And if I made a mistake during the project and can not figure it out, it will leave the car in an undriveable situation. At the end, I get used to not leaving anything valuable in the car. Here in south Florida, for a lower-mid range car (defined by Autockeck) like the vibe (not other Civics) without much modification, I don’t have much worry about it being stolen. Anyway here’s one of the best installation guide I found during my research, from trailvoy with a lot of pictures.
http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?t=65742And for installation videos, you can go to Youtube and search for Motorz channel. Hope these will help and please keep us updated if you plan to carry on this DIY project.

Wire schematic can be had in my Sig.. As long as you take your time, it's not that difficult.. My brother (after years in the install bay) could do your car in a day, with door locks actuators and everything.. It's more like a weekend job, if you aren't an installer and you have all your ducks in a row.. My old head installer would decide where he would put the brain, then mount the alarms main harness in the vice on the bench... From there he would go through all of the options and decide what he was and wasn't going to use... then he would bundle and tape wires in order to where they were going.. cut out the ones that weren't getting used.. Most wires needed can be had under the dash, with door locks, you might have to run wires through the doors, OR the wires may be there from the factory already.. if the factory plugs and wires are there, use them.. get the factory parts and plug n play..
