Just clipped a barrel going through a construction zone and it popped the mirror out of the mirror assembly on the right side. Am I going to have to replace the whole side mirror housing and assembly?Have a look at the pics:
If you found the backing plate you can buy just the glass. If not, and the housing looks undamaged, you can also get the glass already mounted on a new backing plate. Search for the name "redi cuts" and "burco" burcoinc.com. I recently had to get glass for my '09 and this worked for me.
I found mine and ordered through hubcapsplus.com. It wasn't until I received the product that I found out who the manufacturer was (Burco). My glass only was part #5319 and I beleive the "rsg" is the one that comes with the backing plate. You should probably give them a call to verify and also check to see if it has the "blue posts" included with it that you see in your pic. There should be 2 of them that hold the mirror backing plate on, looks like you may have lost one.
Ok... they did have the mirror with the mount. $60 shipped. (Much better than the $400 the dealership wanted to replace the whole side mirror assembly) I went ahead and ordered it from the hubcaps place. As for that other blue post... I'm gonna go back out to the highway and look for it.
