Subwoofer placement

Is there enough room in the storage compartment in the lift up part in the back for a subwoofer? Or on the side things where the light wires are? I don't want to lose any space in the back.

I know there is one guy that used the big ol' hunk of plastic for the spare tire to mount his 10" sub. No word on how it sounded though. I just removed all the spare tire stuff, glassed a tub and mounted it where the stock cover goes.

No spare, a little 14" doughnut would look really silly when 18's are everywhere else, plus it might be a beotch to drive! Can of fix a flat in the rear compartment should handle most problems..It wasn't very much fun due to the contours of the floor(?). Basically 3 pieces, firberglassed frame, top o' the box, and the cover. The Treo subs were a bit deep so I couldn't flush or recess mount them, so I made the cover so I can still transport stuff. It's all held together by furnature screws so I can take the cover and the top off at will and still get a nice air-tight seal. I can haul pretty much anything I want (it is 3/4" MDF), 4 weeks groceries, bricks, appliances, etc. I only lost 3/4" usable space outta the whole deal and that was the goal.
