High idle

Just bought an 03 GT with 74K, loving it so far but it had one minor annoyance.It idles high intermittently at about 1500 RPM or there abouts. If I blip the throttle it will usually settle to 1K then after a few seconds to just below that. This also happens after the car is fully warmed up and frequently happens when I come to a stop after some freeway driving.New to the site and to the vehicle and my searches primarily uncovered cold idle issues so if anyone can give me a start point I'd appreciate it.Thanks...
