I've been an observer here since 2004.It is with a sad face that I show you the result of deer vs Vibe from this morning. No airbag deployment, Good for Me.Deer not fast enough, Bad for Her.Hope they fix it rather then total it.What a great car for NE Winters.

Welcome to GenVibe, with immediate condolences for both your car and the deer. You might hold the record for 'lurking' for the last 6 years, but glad you're finally in the family!

Rims are Moda R4s which have been discountinued. They are sweet but with the convex face don't let your wife park near a granite curb. also installed a Cosmo CAI which definitely improved power and exhaust note. Thanks for your support. Kicker is I just dumped $800 bucks in it last week for new rotors and pads and a new left rear bearing.

FYI for my new Vibe community.Adjustor just called, 1st estimate of damage is $5,500 without knowing what happened to the front of the engine, could be as much as $7,000. Declared a total loss. Told me to strip it of anything I wanted and they will pick it up next week. So I've got some 17" Moda R4 rims with new rubber for sale, located in NH. Minor curb rash on one. Fit a Pontiac Vibe.

sucks its a total loss! but if you have the space, take out everything! seats, spare, washer fluid....wait, leave that in.and I, like bodhi, laughed at the dog pic.

Star-The honeycomb grill is sitting against the radwhich is crushed against the engine with the fan inbetween. There were too many unknowns without the ability to pul it apart and see the extent on the damage. I drove it a mile after the hit to my house, so I believe the manifold to be ok. The adjustor's estimate was basically just the entire front sheet metal and plastic with new rad frame etc. Thus without knowing its going to the scrapyard. Worth more in used parts then to repair. Just a bummer. My 1st accident in 23 years of driving. I just loved that car so much, awesome in the snow and dry pavement corners.Eric
