Hey gang how are all of you doing? Well I hope!Well as the title says it is the end of an era. I have purchased another vehicle (Mazda 3 2008 sedan) and have traded in my beloved 2003 Neptune Vibe (126000kms) ahh such great memories with that car...I brought my son Luka home from the hospital with that Vibe but all good things must come to an end...and a new adventure begins with my Mazda. And before anyone asks yes I will post pics of the 3. I only pick it up next week.Sam

I bought a used 2006 Mazda 3 for my daughter a couple of months ago. I'm real impressed with it so far. Well put together, drives real nice, the clutch is a piece of cake to drive compared to the clutch in the VGT.Zoom Zoom.

congrats on the new ride! did you keep something from your old ride? whenever i change cars, i bring along something specific from the old. shifter knobs, floor mats (usually the small rear ones), and various knobs for lights or a/c just to name a few. ive even switched a rear view mirror and a horn.

Hey Sam, Welcome to the other side! Here's my '04 (for reference, not trying to "jack" your thread.)I am the senior Mod/Asst Admin for Mazdaforum.com (virgin1) and Mod for Mazdas247.com (bbrich57.) Come and check us out! Also, the '08's currently have a voluntary recall for the electric steering. It's not dangerous. You will not lose control of the car, though you could lose the power assist at an inconvenient time. Have it checked out ASAP, if they aren't doing that before you take possession.Welcome to MY family!!BTW Keith: Ford gave up most of it's shares in Mazda several years ago. They now own only 10-12% of the company, not enough to be the controlling interest.

The salesguy was super nice so I told him to take out my sub and amp as a tip Quote, originally posted by 06pvibe » Hey Sam, Welcome to the other side! From the old posts it looks like you got the Vibe in mid July 2003, so you've had it over seven years. That's a long time for most people to hold on to the same car. You and the car treated each other well. Congratulations on the new ride.

Hisssss!!!Well, you must be a real car guy. You remember the day you picked up one of your all-time favorite vehicles. I can respect that.I collected my '57 Chevy on January 23rd, 1972... my very first car. $400 w/a weak 283ci engine. (I put in a rebuilt 327 w/a 4bbl a little later.)But couldn't you put off your trip to DC till you have a chance to enjoy the 3 for a little while? LOL Sometimes it sucks having to be a responsible adult, doesn't it?

ArcsMazda? no... Arcs3? Nah... I'm sorry but you'll just have to sell the Mazda for another Vibe, it's the only way.

A Metro Grey 3i, here in the States. Is it completely base or does it have some upgrades such as power windows and cruise control? Is it stick or auto?If not cruise can be easily added, but power windows/locks are another matter.Oh, and when chosing new wheels, remember that Mazdas are pretty sensitive to wheel weight and off set. Keep the wheel weight at or below 20lbs ea, 9.07kgs and the offset between +45mm and +50. OE offset is actually +52.5mm.

It is an auto with manual mode. It doesn't have any power doors or locks but I will be putting power locks with my alarm/starter combo (yeah yeah my installer was whining when I told him I wanted to do it with the 3 LOL)Thanks for the wheels tip! I have a guy I know that deals in wheels here in Montreal and he is DYING to get me some nice wheels...summertime young grasshopper I told him I drove it home tonight and it drove soooooo nice lol Quote, originally posted by VforVIBE »ArcsMazda? no... Guess your installer has been there already.W/the auto, it's even easier to install cruise if you wanted to. No clutch deactivation switch to worry about. Try this link if interested:

Hm, I thought I was the only "weird" one remembering dates of things... got my Cavalier on Oct 6, 1999. Got my Vibe on Aug 6, 2002. Got my Rogue on Dec 14, 2007. And many other dates I remember that I shan't post here.
