The weather striping around the door openings in our 2003 Vibe is disintegrating. Cab we replace it ourselves? If so, please send directions. Also, where can we purchase replacement weatherstripping? The dealer wants more than $300.00 to do this job and we don't have the money.mariposa37

http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...04103It runs in a track, just rip it out when you get the new stuff and then slide it along the track.

I had the weather strip around the front diver side replaced on my '03 under warranty at about 2.5 years. Other than the fact they had to order that part it didn't seem to take much time. But if you are replacing it on all 4 doors I can see it being $300 at a dealer. They said the wear was caused by the seat belt insert being caught in the door. I was surprised they would fix that under warranty. I tried to be careful but many times it would be in the way when I closed the door. My '09 doesn't seem to have that issue.

It is just the two front doors that need to have the weather stripping replaced. We are retired and on a fixed income We don't have the $300.00 the dealer wants to replace it.mariposa47
