well i completed a minor upgrade today. basically i traded in my 08 base for an 09 GT!!! it just sorta happened...didn't plan on it or anything. the numbers were right and i got a 6yr/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty with it, so i couldn't pass it up.it still hasn't hit me yet.

You call that a "minor" mod? Hmmmm.... Can I have some ($$$) too?Looks good, and I agree. The pinstripe is one of the coolest I've seen in a long time. Nicely done to accent the body lines.

Of the few pinstriped 09/10 Vibes that I've seen, this one looks the best . I just may have to apply a silver stripe like this onto my 09 Vibe GT. Possibly a bit thicker on the lines so it is a bit more noticeable

I traded up from an 07 vibe, and I am glad I did the upgrade, I am pretty sure you will too. The 2009-2010 models are still weak in the paint department so make sure you keep your front grill area well waxed, and get some touch up paint.

Paint protection. http://www.lamin-x.com/Automot...7.htmIt seems Lamin-X does not offer a precut kit, but I'm sure they are available, or could be done professionally. I wish I had done this for my Mazda when she was new. (stone chips, stone chips, stone chips...)

Yes, I wish I had gotten a clear bra for mine, it's covered in chips everywhere now...

Any plans for modifications?Quote, originally posted by trask »The 2009-2010 models are still weak in the paint department so make sure you keep your front grill area well waxed, and get some touch up paint.Very good advice on keeping the front bumper cover well waxed. I keep mine well waxed and I still have quite a few rock chips, although I'd like to think not quite as many as I'd have if I wasn't so good about keeping it waxed .Quote, originally posted by ponta2147 »Yes, I wish I had gotten a clear bra for mine, it's covered in chips everywhere now...x2I wish I would have gotten the clear bra and the Carbon Grey Metallic paint so the chips wouldn't be nearly as noticeable as they are on the Liquid Platinum Metallic paint .

thanks for the tips trask and 06pvibe.the pinstripes are growing on me like i hoped they would. it is because of the way it follows the lines of the car.as far as mods, J_TO_ENVY, some day in the (hopefully) near future...there will be a K&N Typhoon under the hood and a catback exhaust system thrown underneath.most likely the first will be a clear bra. South Florida is under perpetual road construction.

Love the new ride!I'm pretty partial to that color! At first, I wasn't too fond of my pinstripes either (which the previous owner had installed), but they have grown on me now, and I have come to appreciate them. I almost had the front (curved) ones removed, but I've decided to keep the whole set.
