Come to think of it, somebody has totaled a 2009 Vibe with a roof rack by now; check out the junk yards.

I just removed the roof rack from my 2009 Vibe AWD. Never used to carry any loads. If you are interested let me know.

welcome. before you decide to get a rack consider what you will be using it for. The biggest issue I have with the stock 09-10 racks for the vibe are they are at a fixed location. Yes a matrix one will fit there is a member on here with it. but to be honest If i were to do it again I would buy a yakima or thule rack they have feet that bolt into the stock location. search rack in the forums you will find alot about them.

I went with a Yakima system on my '09 GT, and I love it. There is a weight limit of 125lbs, but that hasn't been a problem. You can get a few bikes up there, or if you are like me 2 kayaks, 1 bike in the middle and the other bike set in the back. This is it with 2 kayaks..[IMG][/IMG]

I've considered the roof racks for quite some time becuase of wanting to be able to get my kayaks and bikes around as well but, I settled on a different option. A trailer hitch and a sport utility trailer. It's basically a pair of roof racks on wheels. I alraedy have a curt trailer hitch but gotta save up for the utility trailer (or micro trailer). The one I'm favoring is made by a company called Malone. Its gonna be sweet but it'll end up costing me some $$$ by the time everything is paid for and I register the trailer. Thanks for sharing the pics, I've been really curious how the kayak on roofracks would look like on the 09 vibe! Thats a nice setup.

Nice setup! I've carried similar loads on my roof rack, but now have consolidated it to just a cargo box most of the time. Occasionally I will put on bikes or kayaks.
