Just got off the phone with RA... I decided to try these guys out based on price about a year back... Got a MAF for my Subaru.. Put about 20mi on it MAYBE before it gave up..FF to this morning, I start my Vibes brake job.. (YaY I actually get to use my OWN tutorial, but with NEW parts..!!! WOOT)I get the passenger side done, tear down the drivers side, only to open and find this.. So, I call RA, explain to them this is the second time I've gotten crap parts form them and request the rotor to be "overnighted" ... "oh, we can't do that" ...?????You can't do that?? It's friday and I have a car with half a brake job and YOU CAN'T SPEND THE 10-20$ EXTRA TO KEEP A CUSTOMER... So, the Vibe sits till whenever the rotor shows next week.... YAY... NEVER AGAIN...

I'm still slightly bitter that a user named RockAuto posted a "discount code" on here on 12/15/2008 that didn't work on their site when I bought something from them. When I called to see what's up, the guy who answered the phone, and then the manager, both told me they don't post on car forums. The mods here did the right thing and took the guy's post down

Sorry to hear about your experience. One quick question, if you had a bad experience with them before, why use them again? Unless it has been hit or miss in the past with items? This is why I do wish we had a section dedicated to online stores, merchants, and reviews with customer (forum member) experiences so this does not happen.

This is the FIRST set of brakes it's had.. I gotta check the ODO.. !! I wanna say 125Kmi..!!Quote, originally posted by ou.grizzly »Sorry to hear about your experience. One quick question, if you had a bad experience with them before, why use them again? This is why I do wish we had a section dedicated to online stores, merchants, and reviews with customer (forum member) experiences so this does not happen. The reason I had to use them again is because they wouldn't REFUND my money from the generic MAF they sold me.. I will say I had the MAF sensor for almost a year... In the fall of the last year, I had the MAF go out on me(along with the front O2 sensor 350+ in sensors), I replaced it through RA (Best price), got a little driving (very little) and winter came, so it sat for months... Come spring, I start working on the car and try and TUNE... The MAF's all over the place (shown on the laptop), we swap in my tuners MAF.. Everything works GREAT.. So I got maybe...possibly 50mi on the MAF before it failed.. Last year a MAF for my car was close to 250$ from Subaru, this year, 200$.. Which is what I paid @RockAuto... for a GENERIC MAF (At least Subaru's a proper Denso part)SO, they gave me 200$ in in-store credit.. Time for Vibe brake job and wheel bearing... I use my credit and this is what I get... I hope the Timken WB I got isn't miffed like this.. I have to say, there wasn't any damage on the box or package that could have shown this was dropped, heck, I don't think you could have even DONE this damage by dropping it... It looks "crushed", so it had to have gotten through QC at Raybestos... NOT MY PROBLEM, this is the SECOND TIME, i've gotten garbage from RockAuto.com and they couldn't even eat overnight shipping to try and make me happy...

I can see why you had to use them with that much of a credit. Wonder if you could of disputed the charges if you used a credit card company if something like that ever happened before. Doesn't Hodges Subaru in Ferndale, MI offer discounts on OEM Subie parts? For brake parts, personally have went with Bendix or Wagner in the past... Crappy you have to go through all of this Sublimewind. Hope no more problems occur.

I've used Rock Auto twice now for my Trans AM with no issues.
