Front Brakes Clicking/Creaking

Ive tried to search the forums for this exact problem before posting, but I couldn't find something quite like the problem I am having. I am noticing a clicking/creaking noise when applying the brakes. the noise is coming from the front of the car. The noise seems to get louder/more noticeable/frequent as the car warms up or has been driven longer. The noise is also more noticeable if i am turning, but again, the brakes are applied. Ive had the car looked at by three different mechanics, and they cannot seem to find the problem. They have all said that the front end is in good shape, cv joints, ball joints, etc, all look good. I'm wondering if they are just looking for a different noise and aren't finding what they think is wrong, so they say there isnt a problem. Now, I did get the brakes replaced; new pads and rotors, last year. Any information would be helpful. Also, another noise I do hear is a whisping, hissing noise from the brakes. I don't hear anything from the pedals, and I only notice the noise if the windows is rolled down in the car. Thanks for any advice! This is a 2005 Pontiac Vibe base model

Welcome to GenVibe!!! To me, creaking indicates that something is moving slightly... maybe grab some wrenches and check the tightness of everything on the control arms and shock towers. Is it coming more from one side of the car then the other?

in the beginning, it was coming from the passenger side of the vehicle. But now, both sides seem to do it equally as much.

my 2003 vibe gt has the same problem in the rear i think. is it just one click on each side as your coming to a stop? i'd say its the shock absorbers. the suspension moves as you hit the brakes and as the shocks move, it they're not ooiled then they can make some strange noises.

I don't know if it's the same problem or not, but I have a noise when I brake. My backing plate is rubbing against the rear rotor. The dealer where I bought the car put new brakes on and new rotors in the rear, but can't find any that are cut deep enough.

Mine was in the front, I did get new pads and the rotors lathed down about 3 months ago. I greased up the pads and pad holders today and the noise has gone away. Where the pads contacted the pad holders it was bare. Here are some pictures.
