Warning Beep

...when does it happen.. other than if you turn on the lights or leave the keys in the door?.. It would be great if it would do it when the gas light came on.. sometimes I look down and its on.. and who knows how long it had been on.. Just wondering if it beeps along with any other "vital" warning lights.. I would like some warning if my car is gonna blow! Oh.. And I remember its beeps uselessly when traction kicks in.. along with a frantic flashing light..

Seatbelt unbuckled... e-brake on while driving... self-destruct system armed (Whoops, I should turn that off...)

I don't remember hearing a beep when you leave the e-brake on... just the word BRAKE lighting up and being confused as to why your car won't back out of the space... I mean *cough*

Pull the e-brake up one click so the light turns on (but not enough to engage the brake) and start driving...

So here is my issue...I noticed the other day, that if I am driving the Vibe too vigorously around a corner, it makes a beeping noise. Whenever I come out of the turn and am going straight, the noise goes away. I wonder if it is the sensor for the seat belt, saying that I am not buckled in, even though I am. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks!

That's the VSC. You're apparently going too fast for what the stability control thinks is safe. I always drive with mine turned off.

We have the base model, I don't think that I have it. How can I disable it?

He said that he did and asked if I might possibly have a hearing problem. I went home and put in my hearing aids. Yep, he was right. I felt kind of foolish.

All 2009-2010 model years of Vibe have their Traction Control/VSC off button here. Hold it in while at a dead stop for 5 seconds.I believe previous years have the button in the same place.Quote, originally posted by Houston »I went home and put in my hearing aids.LOL!!!
