No major probs.....just a starter, fan relay & 3 exterior door handles. All repairs I was able to do myself. Most reliable car I have owned to date. Ready for another 100K !!!

Well congratulations!! but wow three door handles? Did you the incredible hulk riding in your car for a work car pool or something?seriously though, I hope my vibe is still going strong at the 100k mark. So what's your secret? What kind of oil change intervals do you do? Synthetic or conventional? Was there any kind of special maintenance that you did?

[QUOTE=vibedrivermatt]but wow three door handles? Did you the incredible hulk riding in your car for a work car pool or something?[QUOTE]you laugh but my 96 GP (at 115k miles) both sides (luckily at separate times) of the door handles broke. Some linkage in it snapped in the door. Design flaw with the door handles. A lot of pre-gen Grand Prix's did that.EDIT:: Congrats on the 100K I'm about 10k away from it myself. Probably in another 9 months.

Thanks all ! Nothing special really.Castrol GTX conventional oil changed every 3-5K. Did the tranny flush at 76K (bought car at 38K) Just did a drain & fill for the coolant. Nothing out of the ordinary which is great....just scheduled maintenance. I check all the fluids once a week either on Sat or Sunday as a procative measure. As far as the door handles, yeah I thought the same. I think it may be the fact that they are unpainted & the Florida heat just makes them brittle. Im not complaining though. Found replacement door handle on Ebay for 15 bucks a peice. Its funny looking at the odometer now...lol

Congrats on your milestone! I hit that one not too long ago...now at 105K (purchased at 72,227) and still going strong. No problems, and just do the regular maintenance as directed. Highway miles helps too.

Nice! Just rolled 60,000 miles myself yesterday. Exactly 7 years to the day we bought it (no lie, took delivery 8/14/03). At this rate, I'll hit 100k in another 4.6 years!

Congratulations! Both mine and my mom's '09s are right at 15,000 miles respectively . Seeing posts like this with all these milestones makes me feel even more confident that we will have our Vibes for a long time to come .

Glad this posting helped for you J. I never bother to look but do we have a 100K thread? List your milage 110K & above and list any issues. It would probably help prospective buyers.

I don't think there's an official 100,000 mile+ thread. I think people pretty much just post when they reach a milestone i.e. 400,000. I think your idea for an "official" thread is great though. It would be really helpful and interesting for sure.

I am at 98000, and, God willing, I have had nothing go wrong with my Vibey. I have had oil changes every 3000 miles and routine maintenance. I bought my car new with 24 miles on it. I still love my Vibe and enjoy driving it every day! And my door handles are just fine, but will keep the potential problem in mind and try to stay gentle!

By the way, my Vibe is a 2004, but I didn't buy him until Jan. of 2005 (new). He sat out on a lot for 9 months until I rescued him!

Does a "official" thread have to be approved by mods?

If you start a thread, just make sure to put something in the title about "Official milestone thread" or something to that effect, so everyone knows what it's about and people should get the hint and go to that thread to post when they reach a milestone .
