Just got around to looking at this thread since you told me about it earlier and holy ****, I need to change my pants. I'll have to paint since I have an automatic and nothing is smooth like with the manuals when it comes to the parts where the window buttons go so i'll just have to suck it up and paint them. You did an amazing job btw. I'm amazed more than ever by the part around the tweeters. You're a truly inspiring artists of the vibe. It'll be interesting to see how ours turn out with similar basic areas of white accents but there being little things different. Good job though and very impressive. Also thank you for the reference in the first post.

I'll second that!A little more white than I would personally do, but you are sure staying the course. You obviously have a vision that is all your own. I applaud your individualism

Message sent. I should have my gauge cluster finished tomorrow with pics with the insides white. I should also have my surrounding of my radio finished withing the next 2 days tops, expect pictures by the end of the weekend. Also a small update to you of how I decided to paint the rest of the gray trim. I'm going to go with my side view mirror adjustment cluster as you did, but here's where I switch it up. I'm going to go with that gray trim in that area as black since there's no gray on the other side that I could turn to white and I don't want it to stand out. So the radio surround and window control surrounding will be white with that drivers side vent surrounding as black. Hopefully that'll balance out nicely. Great job on yours so far and I can't wait to see how they both turn out in the end.

I didn't want mine to be permanent (in case I didn't like it) so I cut my pieces just big enough to wrap around the back of said piece of plastic, then I tacked them down with hot glue. Sounds odd, but works great! And I didn't see how I could have done the big pieces because they have functioning, moving parts that come thru from the back and tucking fabric under them would impede their functionality. The pieces I did had stuff that pushed in from the front, which helps hold your fabric in place.Hope that helped some

I thought we were the only ones to have that un-option. The wife likes it that way, but of it were up to me..... Hey Brandon!! Weren't you "just married?" Shouldn't you be doing something besides playing with your car? Wait ten-twelve years and THEN play with the car. Right now you should be playing with the (new) wife, or you may not have ten-twelve years.
