Kustoms of America just ended a 3 day show in town. Something 'old school' for the winter steelies? Add some 'baby moon' hubcaps and maybe trim rings. What do you think?

I'm from "that generation" too, and it would be interesting. I'll see if I can photochop the look later tonight. Thanks to mrsingh for the 09 donor photo with bare steelies.Sorry the perspective is off, especially on the rear wheel. I lose patience at 3 a.m.!Can you even FIND 'baby moons' to fit Toyota steelies I wonder? Here's a very old thread about 'rockin the steelies' with a pic of the moon treatment on a chrome reverse from the rear-wheel-drive era -->

Moon disc hubcaps were not usually highly polished, just a spun aluminum disc that covered the full wheel. Very popular with the lakes racers and the salt-flats racers. (Still is!)And here's a current generation car with 'full moons'

Kirk,Thanks for the info on the 'ancient' thread. Thanks ahead of time for the photochop!I'm having them powder coated and I've got to make a decision on the color (black or red) very soon (before Wednesday). We know what Ponta's vote will be! LOL

Kirk –That shot of the HHR was taken 1/2 mile from my house. I go by that exact spot all the time!I actually love how that looks, to tell the truth. Perfect vehicle to merge the generations together.

My winter steelies are back from the shop a day early! I've found trim or beauty rings that will fit. But so far, no baby moons that will fit. Maybe, some RTV will work!At the shop
