Come up to Chicago for a few months to cool down- mid 80s and sunny up here for the summer (though we have had our years of 100+ degree weather too)

When I was younger I chrome plated in a factory, that got me acustomed to the heat. I hate the sun tho, thats why I only work nights. On my days off Im outside before sunrise & knock off around 10am.I have a electric lawn mower, weedwacker etc.so I can even do yard work in the dark/lol !

The highest I've seen in the car is 109. The heat index has been over 110 for a few days now.

I would love to have some humidity. The dry heat is absolutely miserable. High humidity here is 10%.

...if you "like" humidity, you'd "love" Guam in the middle of the Pacific...28 miles long by 5 miles wide....sign on USN barracks: "In God we TRUST, on GUAM we RUST" and that was so-o-o-o true! Everything rusted and corroded even if waxed and coated.

According to the Vibe, it was 89 on my way home from the doctor earlier today. According to WeatherBug right now it's 90.6 with 40% humidity. Not too bad, but I prefer the 70s-80s with low humidity.

I used to live in Sycamore and I do miss the low humidity. Here in the humid subtropical climate of southernmost Illinois, we have what's commonly referred to as "air you wear." It's 97 degrees here right now.

So many beautiful old Victorian homes. I wouldn't mind living up in that area (not that I mind Sandwich either ).Well, we got a little rain and some clouds, so now the stats are...Current temperature: 79.1Heat index: 80Humidity: 52%Dew point: 60

Everyone I see on FB is complaining about the heat and saying they want 5 feet of snow and -20F weather. Yeah, right. They were the ones complaining about 32F being cold "as hell" (which is an adjective I REALLY don't understand). It's gonna suck working out in this type of weather.

It got up to 103* yesterday here in the grater Austin area... too hot for this time of year.Add to that we are in a draught. No rain for weeks!! 'Course that would just likely make it humid. Then the skeeters would come out. So far they have had no reason to. (YEAH!!)

Yesterday, it got up to at least 108 (according to the Vibe while we were driving to the Petroleum Museum).Today's high is estimated to be 105. I'm so glad we get to live in this guest house with working AC, the apartment we were living in would be cooking us.
