My GF's new to her 2006 Base Vibe has the factory single CD player with AM/FM (the Moon & Tunes package?). When a CD is inserted it sits in the slot for a few seconds while "track" appears on the screen then it ejects the CD. I've read the Owner's Manual thoroughly and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.........I'm open to suggestions and/or diagnoses? Anybody else had this problem? Everything else on the unit works just fine.

This reply is not going to help you fix your problem After 2 Sunfires and now a Vibe all with the "GM famous" AC/Delco stereo, I can tell you to get the most out of the thing while you can. They are junk. Had 3 in my 98 Sunfire and 2 in my 01 (or was it the other way around?). All replaced under warranty. Once the warranty ran out I bought an aftermarket HU. About to do that in the Vibe now as I have the same problem as you. Also when I get the thing to play. I hit eject and it only ejects the disc an 1/8th of an inch forcing me to flick at the exposed disc until it jumps the rest of the way out.Get an aftermarket unit and go for quality.

I have the same problem when I press the "eject" button. It comes out just a bit, then I pull on it a bit & then it ejects completely. Has been like that for 3 years already LOL. Doesnt do it all the time though. I will just use it till it dies....same thing with the car.....

Make sure it isn't a bad disc.. or if you you use iTunes sometimes is screws up and doesn't actually burn anything.. or only half of the songs.. In my 09, once it said CHECK DISC.. so I pulled it out.. wiped it off and then it worked.. :S

Have you tried the cleaner cd? Did it work? I'm having a similar problem.
