I think i found the problem with my car, Mechanic told me that he suspected that 2 coils were not working, I took the car home and diagnosed it my self, started tha car with all 4 connected, took off the bad ones and the car started, next I pulled off the two good ones and left the bad ones on, car would not fire. to elimante bad wires etc, I moved the good coils to were the bad ones were and the car fired, to eliminate bad sparks plugs i swithced them around to. Just to reiterate the problem I was having, the car was idling rough and when driving it would not let be go above 3000rpm, so the car was running on 2 cylinders. Last question, will there be any problem getting the car out of limp mode.could this be another problem?

It sounds like you have narrowed the problem down to the coils. If there are any CEL's, those will need to be cleared before the car will get out of limp mode. If you do have CEL's, several of us could tell you what it is to make sure you got all of it solved.

the mechanic said there were no codes, what is involved in clearing the CELs and getting out of limp mode.

Disconnect the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes... that should be plenty of time for the system to reset.
