Valvoline 75w-90 or Mobil1 75w-90 LS for a 6 speed?

They both say they are GL-5 rated. The Mobil1 is the synthetic blend. Kinda leaning this way since I run the Mobil1 synthetic oil in all of my vehicles. Anyone care to share their input on the synthetic blends for the manual trannies?Thanks - Mike

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the LS stand for Limited Slip? If so then is has the hypoid additive for a wet clutch style limited slip differential which helps keep the clutches from chattering while in operation. You shouldn't need to use it in that transaxle.

I e-mailed Mobil1 with the car/transaxle specifics and they said I should be good to use it for this application.

Just a little more expensive (for the additive) perhaps.Just don't try using reg 75w-90 in your limited slip.
