just thought id post the before and after pics of my paint job on my calipers. for anyone thinking of doing it, i recommend it. it is a huge difference. glad i finally got around to doing it. i forgot to take a pic of what it looked like with the tire on before it was painted, so use your imagination. heres what the tarnish, or whatever you wanna call it. looked like before the paint.

Wow, I like that. I think as soon as I get my wheels (still deciding on what type) I'll go either black or red - do some photoshop work and see what looks best.Black looks great though, really gives it a nice clean look!Did you by any chance also paint your rear drums?

Mine needs done too, the disc and the caliper, they are both getting rusty! How hard was this?

i didnt want to paint the drum at first, but i think i will later, just so it all matches and maybe add some protection from rust.

well i am kinda lucky. i live on a army post, in the barracks to be exact, so i have no garage. but, i do have what they call a "hoby garage" or sorts. basically its a autobody shop wher eyou can do your own work. they just charge you a small fee for space and tool use. i paid $6 to put my vibe on a lift. took my wheels off and cleaned the caliper. then taped off the parts i didnt want paint on, brushed some spay paint on, then sprayed about 5-6 more layers on. only took about 30 mins. the hydro lift help out alot.

Thanks for the pictures. I think I may be brave enough to try it. Did you consider the "brush on" paint offered by Eastwood.com? It is a little more expensive ($40), but it would seem easier than the spray.
