Eibach Pro-Kit installed YAAAAAY!!!!

After months and months of debating I finally got my Springs installed. To be conservative I got the Pro Kit but I still have just a lil bit of space left (if I want to go 19 inch) But the ride is much better so far. I haven't got the overall performance measures because I dont live far from there and where I live there are a lot of Sheriffs crawling around in this area so I took it easy on the way home.

I'll save that one after I install the strut bar later this week.

I also finished up putting mine in, and I love the difference. I came home from work on Friday, and putting the springs in was the first thing I did.

nah, it took me about 5 hours total to install. The suspension shops around here all said they charge for about 4 hours of work... so I figure with a few beers, and a lunch break, 5 hours isn't too bad. All it took was the right tools, and a little bit of patience (which I don't have, but the beer helped).

Any chance you wanna be "DA MAN" and write up a walkthrough on how to do it, for those of us considering the mod, but want to evaluate if we can DIY or if we need to go pro?

Hey I was thinking (and I mean just thinking right now) about getting the sportline and lower it some more next summer. If you are interested I can pay you to put them on since you know how to do them. But that is a long way off.

you know when I got the springs put on I asked about the Pro-Damper Kit for the springs. He told me not to do it until around 30,000 to 40,000 miles? What do you guys think?

I'm getting down to the wire on all my projects at work since GM shutdown is right around the corner. give me some time, and I will be able to write one up.

I over heard the guy said the fronts are easy but the rear is harder.

If I do the upgrade, it won't be for several weeks, possibly months, yet...quote:I'm getting down to the wire on all my projects at work since GM shutdown is right around the corner.GM Shutdown? Oh, to retool for the new model year?quote:Well one thing is for sure, you have to remove the entire back floor board and spare tire to get to the bolts in the rear. I did it once.Yeah, the rears were a lot easier to do then the front. Taking all the stuff out of the back was a breeze. Remove like 5 bolts, and that stuff comes right out. The front springs were much harder because the strut was connected with 2 bolts at the bottom, and it is connected to the tie-rod. The brake lines are also mounted to the bottom of the strut, and need to be disconected to get them out of the way. I'll try and get a digital camera and take some photo's and do a write up. Give me some time on that though.

Figured I would add to this thread.. got my Eibach Pro-Kit Springs installed this past Saturday. rasermon installed them for me.. with some assistance by myself .. took us a few hours, but the outcome was great! The Pro-Kit supposedly drops the height about 1.5" front/rear. While this isn't anything too drastic (to keep ride comfort and height acceptable for my area), the handling and responsiveness is just plain awesome! Took a couple pics today since it was nice out.. enjoy.P.S. Thanks again rasermon!

A subtle difference in appearance...but most definitely is noticeable, and makes an amazing contribution to the overall appereance...Definitely considering giving this more thought now...

I think this covers the write up you guys were asking for.....http://www.deepstaged.net/toymattein.htm BTW, Nick...I really like your drop...the Vibe should come that height from the factory. Doesnt look raced out, just sporty! Very nice...i am seriously thinking about springs now and that may be the drop for me. although the sportlines may be better for autoX.

Doesnt look raced out, just sporty! ....Speaking of that, I was just looking at the '04 brochure ('03 may be the same) and I noticed that all the vehicles shown on the "available colours" page have about a 2-1/2" drop! (Other illustrations look to be normal ride height.)
