What is this little cup?

I just bought an '09 Vibe and I noticed a strange little cup in the cupholder that has a spring-loaded lid and what looks to be a notch in the bottom so it can be mounted on something. There's rubber around the bottom of it.What is this thing?

Possibly the ash tray.. If you have a cigarette lighter instead of the little flap cover, then this is probably what it is.. I have the smokers package, but no little cup when I bought mine (used).

I thought cupholderquestion was car related/lol !I smoke but havent in the Vibe.
