Its kind of hard to compare as they both have different features.Between the 2 if you are or will be running amplifiers in the future get the JVC as it has sub level control and 2.5 volts output on the RCA line.If you will be using an Ipod or a thumb drive get the Kenwood as it has USB and IPod control built in.IMO they both should fit the bill, IMO you wont really notice a huge difference between the playback of the radios. I really don't think there is a better of the 2 but one of them will work better for you then the other. With that said what features are important to you?

They both seem OK but in another one of my cars i have a radio with the same screen as the Kenwood and it is almost impossible to see with the sun shining on it.

Thanks for the reply. You know I listen to CDs occasionally, but the radio is mostly what I use. Having the HD will be great. I don't own an I-Pod etc. but having the USB is kinda nice can use that for phone charging..So still undecided and may end up with the JVC since as was pointed out the sunlight may pose a problem and for me that would be bad since I live in sunny South FL.

Good video and I could see that it was rather dim with sunlight on it. So it may make me choose the JVC over the Kenwood. Thanks

After looking at the video I sorta totally agree and the JVC might be the winner. and I'll still be running the stock amp unless of course it craps out.
