Performance increases

First question...what is the designation of the VibeGT VVTL-i engine? 1zz? 2zz? Would it be possible to change the RPM speed where the valves open up? If that could be lowered to 5000, the engine would have the kick through all the gears except the low end of first. The best way to boost power there is a supercharger, but no-one knows if one is even in the design stage. I want to get the lower body kit for the GT-R and lower mine about 2". These mods and the thing should run 100% better. Maybe stiffen up the sway bars, but that's all you need.

The Vibe GT is equipped with Toyota's 2ZZ-GE Engine.

The Vibe GT uses the 2ZZ-GE 180HP engine. The Vibe uses the 1ZZ-FE 130HP engine.On getting the lift mechanism to kick in at 5000 instead of 6000 everything is possable. I have no idea how you would get it to do it though. At 6000 RPMs the ECU sends a signal to an oil control valve at the end of the camshaft that puts oil pressure behind a lock pin in the rocker arm, sliding the pin under the spring-loaded slipper follower, locking it to the rocker arm and forcing the arm to follow the high-rpm cam profile.Reprograming the ECM you might be able to get it to send the signal earlier but I'm not sure. JET will reprogram the ECM on both Vibe models. They could probably answer this question for you.As for the supercharger your right there isn't one available at this time and I have heard nothing about it coming out. There is a Turbo available for the 1ZZ and the same company (West Covina Toyota) is making one for the 2ZZ also. So forced induction of some kind is going to happen for the Vibe GT.Hotchkis Tuning's sway bars are available for the Vibe and Vibe GT and
http://www.eibach.com has springs that will drop the front 1.8 inches and the rear 2 like you wanted.As far as the ground effects kit that's on the GT-R it's not available from anyone at the moment, to my knowledge. I could be wrong so I will check.Any thing else?

Thanks for the info. I was mostly curious about the lift RPM. Would it be better to open it up at 5000, or is the relationship of the valve timimg too critical? If the valvetrain opens on the lower RPM, the timing might throw a valve into a piston. Would you want to change the pistonrings, pistons and the comp. ratio? Turbo's are too hot. I've seen the "specs" that the similar supercharger is doing. The 2zz has a higher comp. ratio already. I just want some line power. I don't want to destroy the thing. What I'd like to see is a test with this engine with the cam lift locked in high. But, I'm no design engineer. And as for the sensor and output to that pressure valve...what is the sensor on? and what does the output to the valve look like? Is it digital or analog? Digital would probably be easier to change...but less accurate for a quick fix.
