I barely finished cutting my lawn when all heck broke loose, trees bending, funiture flipping over etc....wind only lasted about 5 minutes. But I welcome the rain so I do not have to water the veggies beds!

We didn't get the bad wind up here, though we did get rained on. But down by O'Hare it was pretty bad apparently, and my husband's already-delayed flight (customs made him and many others miss last flight from IAH-ORD last night) was re-routed to Indy to refuel.

Earlier this morning the wind came up out of nowhere and blew like crazy for a little bit, but like Pat said it didn't last long. It rained pretty hard for a while too, but nothing major. A couple hours ago we had another storm pass through, this time it rained a little bit and that was about it. The weather today hasn't compared at all to the 15+ tornadoes that came through central Illinois last weekend destroying at least 3 towns .

Glad nothing major happened this time.
