I have some rattling in the cargo area.. can't ever look while driving .. but If i got a carpeted cargo mat to put in the back would that cut down on some of the noise? Even road noise? Where's the cheapest place to buy one from?

I got mine from the Home Depot for $6 or so and cut it to size.

Our Black 09 squeaks back there and it is the cargo tray/lid deal - I need to take it apart and apply some strips of felt to keep the plastic from rubbing. I would suspect some of the rattling is some of the same items - but you are and and so is Raffe. A cargo mat is the best way to go and home depot stuff n cut it down to size is the most economical.

I was also considering door stripping they sell at hardware stores. You know, the stuff that makes a tight seal when you close an exterior door in frame. A short/shallow height applied under the locking top/cargo floor may do it. Plus, the types I have used are in a gray color very similar to our plastic back there. Although, you would only see it when your spare tire area is open.

i recently installed a rubber cargo mat in my '10. it cut down on some of the noises i was getting back there. and this is going to make me sound dumber than usually sound, but while installing the mat, i opened my spare tire hatch and discovered some cargo tie downs that i did not realize were in there since day 1. 90% of the clunking i heard in my car came from them bouncing around back there. they're much quieter in place and tensioned in the cargo area!

I used to have some rattling squeeking noise in the back but after putting some carpeting there the noise went away and was never heard again. I bought a roll of carpet from home depot and cut to fit and it works great
