hey just wanna link this. Found out about this site from genvibe member dragon64. there's some pretty neat info on this page about suspension tuning. They're talking about tuning a subie WRX wagon in here but I'm sure a lot of these tuning techniques could be applied to the vibe. http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/dialed/ another interesting page. why wheel spacers are bad.http://realbig.com/detomaso/1998-11/53.htmlmind you this guy gets all academic and goes sorta over my head in some of his explanation as to why he doesn't like wheel spacers but I still got the gist of it. The part about shear planes anyway. It makes sense.

Interesting articles. On my old Mitsubishi Mirage, I had to use a small spacer on one side of the back axle to eliminate tire rubbing (after adding aftermarket wheels/tires).

oh right, well you may have very well been perfectly fine in that regard. You didn't experience any stud failure did you?Yes it seems that a lot of people may have been able to use spacers in some applications without any issue but, after reading that discussion, its not something I'd wanna try. Yeah just pointed to that because if people who are buying aftermarket wheels they may want to use them so they can run the car faster, which is going to put more stress on stuff. It doesn't make sense to weaken your components when your going to be putting more stress on everything.

Well certainly it's better get the right wheel offset rather than use a spacer.
