Put the Vibe in the shop for last minute warranty work.... think I had 2 inches left on the warranty My issues were broken volume knob, 4 missing wheel center caps, speedo 4 mph fast, and the gas pedal recall. I kinda expected some resistance.... not the dealer I bought it from, not covered, etc. There was none. Well, almost none. They had no record of the wheel center cap TSB. I searched The Greatest Forum on Earth & got the number.... caps are on. They replaced the whole radio (with a refurb I assume). They are replacing the whole instrument cluster.... just haven't found one yet. I really expected to have to fight that one, but no problem The gas pedal recall was done. I don't have the car back yet so I can't comment. GM & the dealer (Lehmer's Pontiac in Concord ) have been great. If you have any of these issues, take the car in.... they will fix it. If they won't, maybe you should find another dealer.

Wow.. quite a few probs there.. I think mine have the same.. lol.. but lucky you.. yours came about when you had warranty.. Mine happened mostly after my warranty expired.. of course.. :/

I take it you were just under the 36k mileage limit I'm really surprised they replaced the center caps even though there was issues with the early 09 vibe GT wheel caps having weak clips/fasteners (Mine, I believe have the newer improved caps... I hope). They could easily have simply said some kids stole them and we're NOT replacing them! Give then credit there The radio thing has me concerned as it sounds like this WILL eventually happen to every Vibe out there Maybe it is more prone to happen to Vibes that are in warmer climates and that are always outdoors ??? i noticed my volume knob is kinda loose but still hanging on lol i hardly touch it too but when i did it felt loose =P

Thanks for the info. May have to make a run out there. Dublin Buick Pontiac GMC won't even acknowledge the center-cap issue existed. They admit it happens to brand-new Vibe they just sold, but they still claim the caps were most likely 'stolen' and can't find the TSB even when presented with a copy.

Dealer called today..... new instrument panel only improved the reading by 1 mph.... GM says it's in spec, nothing more they can do. Still, happy with the total results, I expected far less.

Reading 3-4 mph fast seems pretty usual. I don't know specifically for Vibes (just bought mine)), but in all the vehicles I have had, the speedo would read a little fast - even when I had slightly increased the wheel size.Why? - I'm guessing:* Any gauge isn't perfect. And vehicle instruments are made particularly cheaply. There will be variance between them, and through the gauges sweep. The question is what you do with that variance.* It's a liability thing - it is safer to have a speedometer that reads fast than slow.* It's a customer service thing - the auto manufacturers don't want PO'd clients who were going 10-15 over finding out that there speedo was read 1 mph slow... and blaming all their speeding tickets on the speedo.* Also bear in mind that as your tires wear, the diameter of your overall wheel will be reduced. On a tire that starts out with a 25" overall diameter, losing 10/32's of tread is equal to an overall 5/8" decrease in diameter... that is a 2.5% decrease in overall diameter and the same decrease in distance traveled per rotation. Of course, the speedometer reads rate of rotation, not rate of linear movement. At 60 mph, tire wear alone can account for around 1.5 mph change in speedo readings between new and old tires.So it is conservative to design the speedometer, within the range of speeds it might read, to at the very least read the speed you are going, but it is okay for it to read somewhat higher (a few mphs).... It also may explain why some folks feel police are at times more lenient than they may really be...

Well, just a month after getting the whole radio replaced due to the loose volume knob, I have a loose volume knob. Just rotates on the shaft, EXACTLY like the first one did. It was 103 here today, I'm convinced that the glue they use on the shaft melts in high temps. Out of warranty now, just have to live with it. GM should really step up to the plate here, it's a common problem.

That sucks . My mom and I have yet to experience any problems with our radio knobs after a little over a year of ownership (both were purchased brand new). Is there any way you can remove the knob and try some type of adhesive on it yourself? Just a thought.

I've tried to remove my tuner button as it is broken.. but can't get it off.. And tugged.. but don't want to break it more than it already is..
