2003 Vibe Nav

I just recently picked up another Vibe a few weeks ago. It turned out to have the 6 disk player and NAV system. The issue came when i went to try the system, it had no disk. I researched this quite a bit on here and found 2 solutions:1: Replace the head unit.2: Find an old used disk(which there aren't any) or buy a new one from GM for $200 which is an old 2003 version anyway.I don't want to do either of those. I have been researching the radio's and since we are nearly identical to the Matrix i was wondering if i can use a Lexus update disk like the guy did in this thread. http://matrixowners.com/index....46440 I believe i have a Gen3 unit and technically a gen3 disk should be able to update my NAV system. I found this part number "MN 00125-DVD05-CY" for the Gen 3 update disk. There are also quite a few torrents out there i might try "Toyota Lexus Navigation DVD Gen 3 v6.1".My car has manual locks and no alarm so breaking into it is amazingly easy and the absolute reason i will not spend a dime on an upgraded head unit. Looking for some guidance here.

sweet, do you have a part number of the one you got? i am trying to track one down and i don't want to eat the cost of a used disk by getting the wrong one.

great info, thanks! I found a used one for 25$ this week. I am going to try and hunt down that 9.1 version and see if i can get it to work. That would tide me over for quite some time and be a solid upgrade for the system.

i was reading up on the 9.1 update on ebay and i think you need the latest software before 9.1(so im guessing 8.1?)in order for it to work?,,dont get it though as the nav system doesnt have a harddrive and works solely on the dvd,,,,,,,,,,,anyways let me know,,,i heard of some guy using a toyota 6.1 update and it worked but he has answered me back

I have wished for an updated nav disc since I got my 03 Vibe new back in Jan of 03!! I just can't see spending the bucks at the dealer for a disc that is probably the same as the one I have now!!Would appreciate any info on downloadbles, eBay sales that work, etc. What should I be looking for? Thanks.
