Hey everyone, I was wondering if any body could give me some feedback on the Skunk2 Coilover kits? I was thinking about getting one for my 03' GT, but the price seemed rather low for a coilover kit. Any feedback will help. Thanks!

If you are talking about what I think you are talking about, they are just springs and collars, no shock/strut, hence them being cheap.. So they would have to be used with the stock struts (REALLY bad idea) or aftermarket struts (still not a great idea)Biggest problem with those kits (if i'm talking about the same as you) is that the springs and shocks are NOT designed together.. On a proper coil-over aftermarket suspension, the valving of the strut/shock is tuned to match the spring rates of the spring and the weight of the car.. When these things aren't taken into account, you end up with results that a FAR less than optimal.. Might be cheap, but is it WORTH it... My opinion is NO.. I'm just one though..

Sublime's right. You can use these to lower your car to your liking, but unless a miracle happens, your shocks, OEM or aftermarket might not work well with the Skunk spring rates. Tuning a suspension from scratch can take a long time, and many shocks and settings later, you still might not have exactly what you want for a ride. For something vital as suspension, you should go with components already sorted out for your car. By the time you're done finding the right combination of shock and settings, you could be going through more money than a quality set would cost in the first place.
