My wife just informed me that our 2010 Kia Sportage can haul more than our 2003 Vibe can:2 Tubas3 French Horns3 Baritones4 Trombones10 Trumpets11 Clarinets1 Alto Sax1 Oboe7 FlutesWe bought the Sportage because the interior dimensions are pretty close to the Vibe's (at least the passenger dimensions are similar), but it looks like the cargo capacity is a little more.

What?! No Didgeridoo?

She does have a 'rainstick' which is about as long as a Didgeridoo, but that didn't need to be hauled. I'm just glad I don't have to give up my Vibe again for this "end of the school year" stuff.

I am deeply respecting your cargo, as a band geek myself. Why are you hauling so many instruments?

At the beginning and end of the school year, she has to gather the instruments from wherever she can get them and distribute them to her students. Her last concert of the year was last night. I'm sure she'll have more instruments to haul soon.

The only thing a car must be required to haul is tubas.
