I just noticed this today when trying to pass someone on the highway. I was going about 50mph & wanted to zoom up to 65-70 so I hit the O/D button to downshift & gunned it.The car did accelerate but it was pulsing/surging when accelerating, my body would move back and forth, it was very noticeable. Letting off the gas while still in low gear & then flooring it again, it disappears. It seems to me like a transmission-related issue with the hydraulics but not sure.Anyone have any clues? i haven't flushed the fluid yet but plan to this weekend hopefully and fill it to the proper level. When I checked the fluid it seems to be high on the dipstick.Any clues? thx

I am not sure. But now that you mention it mine does that sometimes as well when I have the O/D off or I am in 2nd. Let me know what you find.

I would have to guess MAF sensor, or fuel return check valve. When dealing w/electronic controlled cars, and especially those that are drive-by-wire, the FI system ad its various sensor can cause some pretty strange occurrences.I had this trouble in my Mazda and in the end, both turned out to be a problem, only 6 months apart from each other.

I would agree with you except I know my MAF sensor is bad and I had my computer hooked up to my car and all the fuel ranges were where they should be.. :/ argh.
