Looking at some Yokohama Ice Guards on Craigs List... off a Matrix so bolt pattern works...the 60's should give me a little more "cushion on rough winter roads... just wondering if it will give me less ground clearance than 55/16's? I have an 03 AWD...

You're gonna be riding lower, which is OK if you're on a dry smooth road, but if the snow gets deep? Not a great situation. You really want taller than standard clearance to help out. I wouldn't go with that size wheel/tire. I use a 215/60 16 snow tire. I do like the extra clearance to get over driveway snow berms and such without damage to the lower part of my Vibe's bumper. They came in pretty handy coming home the one night we had a good snow storm and plows didn't go out because it was already late on a Saturday night. It was a fun 14 mile drive, with absolutely no tracks in the brand new 7-8 inches of very cold snow that had already piled up.
